But before you click, here are five fast commercial audition tips.

1. Don’t wear plaid. It makes the camera do strange things. Bright, but not too bright, solid colors work best on camera.
2. Be on time. This is true for just about everything but even more true here. Do you really want to be the person who makes everyone wait.
3. Be yourself. This is another one that is true for just about everything. One of the great things about commercial auditions is that you aren’t really playing a part. You are playing you.
4. Know your sizes. Commercials get produced quickly. They’ll want to know your current size for everything from shoes to gloves so if  you book the part they can start pulling wardrobe right away.
5. Frame your face. They want to see your face. Don’t hide behind your hair or stare down at the floor. Trust me, there is nothing interesting to see on the floor. Keep your head up, your hair back and let them see your adorable smile.
