Bio

P.G. Kain teaches at New York University where he is the chair of the Contemporary Culture and Creative Production concentration in Global Liberal Studies. As a Faculty Fellow in Residence at NYU, P.G. lives among 900 undergraduate students in a residence hall near Gramercy Park. As a free-lance journalist his essays and reviews have appeared in Newsday, The Forward, The Tony Awards, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, The Houston Chronicle, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and other national publications. P.G.’s solo and ensemble performance work has been seen at Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, City Center, The Joyce, PS 122, Dixon Place and Dance Theater Workshop.

For three seasons he appeared as the technology correspondent on the television news magazine Café Digital which aired internationally on The Discovery Channel. His design work has been featured in many magazines and web sites including PC Computing, Yahoo Magazine and Ziff-Davis' Internet Life.

P.G. has lectured on writing and creativity to school groups, families and librarians across the U.S as well as in Europe and South America.

COMMERCIAL BREAKS is published by Simon & Schuster/Aladdin and reveals the lives of tween girls making their way through the complex, captivating and ultra-competitive world of commercial castings.
